Enabling race drivers to create their own championship circuits, Codemasters today announces Race Driver: Create & Race, an original title in the exhilarating motorsport series, coming exclusively to Nintendo DS this summer.
Race Driver: Create & Race has been designed from the ground up for Nintendo DS and lets players thrash the most formidable sports cars through closely-fought races on the world’s most prestigious circuits… and then lets players create their very own circuits with a full track construction kit.

Further championships and cars can be unlocked from the World Tour Mode and then raced in realtime online and ad hoc multiplayer modes.

Aim for the fairway as a new but fully-fledged style of golf is set to hit Wii! Get ready to experience greens with a difference as players embark on the golfing experience of a lifetime. From tropical islands to snow valleys, Pangya! Golf With Style launches players into a world of precision and skill, mixed up with a touch of magic, as it launches across Europe on 8th June 2007.
Containing all the basic elements for the perfect round of golf, players tee off on Pangya Island and experience 11 different courses with a unique Wii twist. Using Wii’s innovative controller, players swing the Wii Remote as if it were a real golf club, with the aim of achieving that coveted hole in one. As well as traditional golfing elements to consider like hitting the fairway, staying out of the bunkers and paying attention to the wind speed Pangya! Golf With Style also adds a touch of fantasy and it’s own rules to the mix.
At the start of the game players can select one of two characters - Scout or Hana. Progression through Pangya! Golf With Style will unlock additional characters, each with their own unique golfing skills and special moves. Once players have selected a character they can get down to the business of customising them to their taste. Quirky outfits are not just an element of the real game of golf, they are also important in Pangya! Golf With Style. However, in this game the costumes affect the statistics of the character as well as their look. Players can even take their own customised character to compete with on a friend’s console by saving it on their Wii Remote!
Players can tip the scales in their favour when battling it out in versus mode using items gained in other game modes. For example, Wing God Fan is a ‘hinder item’ which when activated by moving the Wii Remote up and down produces wind to put the opponent off their shot. Alternatively the Graffiti Crayon can be used to write on the screen obstructing the opponents view.
Pangya! Golf With Style putts, birdies and bogeys its way across Europe on Wii on 8th June 2007 at an estimated retail price of around €49 (approximately £34 in the UK).

Punch Out!!® Featuring Mr. Dream (NES®, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): As young boxer Little Mac, players have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to battle the big guys of the World Video Boxing Association circuit. Will it be Lau Chan, Kage-Maru, Wolf Hawkfield, Jeffry McWild, Akira Yuki, Jacky Bryant, Sarah Bryant or Pai Chan? The answer lies within. Players immerse themselves in this technically challenging game and see if they have what it takes to be the champion of the second World Fighting Tournament.
Bonk's Revenge (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points): The "hardheaded" hero is back for more in the second installment of the Bonk series. Double, even triple, attack power by eating the meat that appears in a stage. Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that Jam Sessions™ – a groundbreaking music title exclusively for the Nintendo DS™ system in which players actually strum a guitar via the Touch Screen to make music – will launch in EMEA territories this summer.
“Jam Sessions is an amazing title with limitless potential to entertain and engage a wide audience of people who love music, guitar and singing,” said John Parks, EMEA Marketing Director. “Basically, it’s a guitar in your pocket but that’s just the beginning. It’s a chance for people who have never thought of themselves as ‘musically inclined’ to jump right in and play through entire songs, compose their own music and sing along with friends.”
Players will rock out, or smoothly strum, on the lower screen of the Nintendo DS system, producing an authentic sound digitally remastered from an actual acoustic guitar. The simple interface will guide players into the various easy-to-play modes which include: Performance Mode, allowing users to sing and play along both yesterday and today’s hottest artists; Free-Play Mode, where people can play anything they chose; and Tutorial Mode where novice musicians will learn to play guitar without paying for lessons.
One of the most compelling features is the ability to record what you play and play it back, therefore making Jam Sessions virtual notepad for players to write, play and save their original music anytime, anywhere. The portability of the DS system makes Jam Sessions a complete concert-on-the-go entertainment system, perfect for parties and other social gatherings – simply hook up some external speakers via the headphone jack and you’re a rock star!

Custom Robo Arena launches across Europe on 25th May 2007.
Players follow the adventures of a young boy who has just transferred to Midheart High School and dreams both of winning the CustomRobo Championship and fighting Robo-crime by joining the police force. Under the guidance of his new friend, Liv, our hero must learn the skills of a Robo Fighter.
The aim of the game is to compete in prestigious Custom Robo competitions but, before taking part in the tournament, players must complete challenges and competitions to unlock all the key elements needed to create the best robot in the world. These consist of Body, Pod, Gun, Bombs and legs, all of which can be selected for the robot and manipulated using the Nintendo DS touch screen in pose mode.
Once the first spare parts are found in-game, you can start customising the components for your Robot at the Garage, where Robots are prepared for Battle. Having unlocked all the parts, players will have thousands of combinations to choose from to produce their ideal combination of attack, speed and defensive abilities. This variety allows players to alter their Robots to suit every situation.
Battles are fought in colourful 3D battle arenas, with obstacles for the player to run around, jump onto and even hide behind during a challenge which all adds to the intensity of the fight. Throughout the game players must aim to crush their opponent with the full force of their machine, whist avoiding all blows from the challenging Custom Robo. This requires players to strategically assess all elements of a fight to customize the ultimate winning robot!
During the single player Battle Mode in Custom Robo Arena, players set out to become the ultimate Robo Commander champion, moving their robot with the D-pad and using the other buttons to dispatch opponents with bombs and gunfire. The unlockable Robocade is an area where players can battle against a freely customisable opponent as well as take part in arcade style battles to increase their scores. Depending on their performance players will be awarded a gold, silver or bronze trophy. But to be eligible for this extra honour they must win five bouts in a row.
In addition to these modes, gamers have the opportunity to take on other players around the world with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. The game’s multiplayer mode allows players to choose to battle with a randomly selected opponent, people of a similar ability level or even with a specific friend. Friends and rivals codes can also be managed, creating rosters and tracking their progress in Custom Robo Arena.
So get designing and prepare for battle as Custom Robo Arena smashes its way onto shelves across Europe on 25th May 2007 for the estimated retail price of approximately £30.

Funcom and Eidos announce that more than 100.000 gamers signed up for the ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’ Beta test over the Easter holiday. Just within the first 24 hours of the announcement more than 50.000 gamers signed up to test the game. Despite a demanding sign-up process the initial numbers bodes very well for the future of the most savage, sexy and action-packed MMO ever created.
“We’re naturally very pleased to see that so many dedicated gamers are signing up for the ‘Age of Conan’ Beta at such a rapid pace,” says Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. “With more than 100,000 gamers signed up in such a short time-frame our confidence in the game’s potential and its ability to be a major contender in the MMO genre continues to be strengthened.”
To avoid gamers that were simply looking for a free trial of the game already at this stage, Funcom launched a Beta sign-up process which involved filling out detailed personal information, as well as providing detailed technical information about the PC system. As such, the sign-up process has been created to ensure that those signing up would be dedicated to the testing of the game. As the game moves into more open Beta stages closer to the launch, further initiatives will be unveiled to expand the base of Beta testers.
“We’ve been developing this incredible world for years now and today more than 150 people are working hard on achieving the ambitious goals we set out for the game,” says Gaute Godager, founder of Funcom and Game Director on ‘Age of Conan’. “The team is very excited about the number of gamers who have signed up for the Beta so far, and we can’t wait to see them charging into the brutal battlefields of Hyboria!”
'Age of Conan' will release on the 30th of October. The game is consistently listed as one of the most anticipated PC games of 2007, and won 'Best MMO of E3' awards from IGN, GameSpot, GameSpy and Yahoo. 'Age of Conan' is a key title in Microsoft's Games for Windows line-up, as well as being a showcase DirectX 10 title for nVidia. More information, Beta sign-up, forums and a welcoming community portal can be found on www.ageofconan.com.

Find your rhythm and get ready to set off the biggest round of fireworks, as Boom Boom Rocket™, the first Xbox LIVE® Arcade game from Electronic Arts explodes onto Xbox LIVE Arcade today.
The game is a hypnotic rhythm music game conceived by EA’s Pogo.com™ casual games design team and developed by Bizarre Creations, the developer who brought fan-favorite Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved to Xbox LIVE Arcade. Boom Boom Rocket will be available for 800 Microsoft Points, first launching in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and is rated 3+ by PEGI. The game also will be available in the near future in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand.
Players find their groove in Boom Boom Rocket, by triggering rockets to the beat of the music while traveling through a 3D cityscape. The fireworks are choreographed to 10 original tracks created by Ian Livingstone. Players can play in single player mode or go head-to-head against a friend on the same console, making it a perfect social game. Easy mode allows players to get comfortable with the controls while Endurance mode challenges the savviest of Boom Boom Rocket players with its intense speed and complexity of fireworks triggers. Loosen things up with the fun-for-all Freestyle Mode, or watch your favorite tunes light up the sky with the built-in Visualizer.
“The joint effort between the Pogo.com creative team and the talented team at Bizarre Creations evolved the idea into what the game plays like today. Seeing people’s response to the game itself has been such a great experience – it’s what making games is all about,” said Spencer Brooks, EA’s Boom Boom Rocket Producer. “We’re so excited to give Xbox LIVE Arcade fans this new game and have had so much fun playing it ourselves – you can’t help but have fun playing this game.”
The game features three modes of gameplay: Normal, Speed and multiplayer head-to-head. Each song is choreographed into three skill levels to ensure that everyone can join in the fun. Successfully chain fireworks to fill the bonus meter and activate the psychedelic bonus mode for extra points. Players can unlock new firework designs by mastering each music track. Players can utilise the connected online element and see how their scores compare with other players on the Boom Boom Rocket leaderboard.
Glory Days 2 coming to NDS

UK publisher Ghostlight Ltd. are continuing their exciting expansion plans and further broadening an impressive release schedule by moving onto the Nintendo DS format, with the sensational forthcoming title Glory Days 2. Developed by French based ODenis Studio, multilingual Glory Days 2 is scheduled for a May release in all PAL territories.
Glory Days 2 offers classic good versus evil shoot-em-up action, combined with ferocious real time strategy; a first on the DS. This unique combination of genres, combined with the Nintendo DS’s innovative control system and dual screens, makes for an immersive and, most importantly, fun gaming experience. 3D glasses functionality brings another dimension to gameplay, enhancing graphics and adding depth to battle-damaged landscapes.
The player controls one of three heroic aviators, progressing through 16 expansive campaigns, gradually evolving from classic WWII aircraft to modern-day F14’s and deadly Apache helicopters. Flying aces engage in dogfights with the enemy, alternating between machine guns, and heat-seeking missiles to down their foes and claim air supremacy. Fearless helicopter pilots deploy troops behind enemy lines and weave through flak, bombing key strategic units in a compelling tug-of-war for territorial possession.
Players take command over ground units, allocating funds to build tanks, ground troops and mobile ground-to-air defences during real time battles. Funds can be accrued by capturing the opponent’s bases and saving civilians in Choplifter-esque rescue missions. As players’ progress their military might grows, unlocking V2 rockets, drones, paratroopers and devastating B-2 stealth bombers.
Players can go head-to-head in the fierce and gripping WiFi multiplayer mode, supporting up to 8 players split into 2 cooperative teams, both with one objective; capture and destroy the enemy command centre. Battles are fully customisable, allowing players to choose vehicle allocations, gameplay type (action, tactical or strategic), length of play and even weather conditions.
Adrian Clews, Marketing Executive, comments: “Glory Days 2 is highly addictive, with fantastic gameplay, combining the best elements of classics such as Choplifter and Silkworm blended with Advanced Wars in one glorious game.” Adrian continues “The multiplayer game and 3D glasses functionality is sensational and sure to be a massive hit with DS owners.”

Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios today confirmed the multiplayer beta of “Halo® 3” will debut to audiences worldwide via Xbox LIVE® on May 16 at 1pm GMT and run through June 7 at 7:59 a.m. GMT.
Coming exclusively to the Xbox 360™ console this fall, “Halo 3” is the highly anticipated third chapter in the groundbreaking “Halo” trilogy from legendary developers Bungie. “Halo 3” lets gamers experience Master Chief’s greatest battle as he launches an epic mission to stop the Covenant, destroy the impending Flood threat and ultimately save mankind.
Made possible through Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox LIVE gaming and entertainment network, which provides a robust online service for more than 6 million gamers worldwide, the multiplayer beta for “Halo 3” will give anxious Xbox 360 gamers their first opportunity to get their hands on the new levels, weapons, vehicles and game types, as well as a chance to provide valuable data that Bungie will use in continued development. Starting May 16, gamers who secured their admission to the multiplayer beta either through the “Rule of Three” promotion or by purchasing a specially marked copy of “Crackdown™” for Xbox 360 will be able to don their Spartan armor, download the beta on Xbox LIVE, and jump online using their Xbox LIVE Gold account* to battle other gamers from around the world.
When gamers gather online to play the multiplayer beta via Xbox LIVE in May, they will be treated to three richly detailed, action-oriented maps: Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla, which represent a mixture of large- and medium-scale combat environments and are brand-new to “Halo 3.” Each map will test gamers’ mettle as they are placed behind the controls of new “Halo 3” vehicles such as the agile Mongoose all-terrain vehicle, and armed with deadly weapons such as the new and improved Assault Rifle, the ferocious Brute Spiker, the devastating Spartan Laser and the treacherous new Spike Grenades. This is just a taste of what gamers will experience later this fall when “Halo 3” goes on sale.
“‘Halo: Combat Evolved’ and ‘Halo 2’ changed the face of console gaming forever,” said Shane Kim, corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios. “Gamers from around the world have logged more than 800 million hours on Xbox LIVE playing ‘Halo 2,’ and years after its launch it remains the No. 1 title on our Xbox LIVE network. Bringing an early look at the multiplayer elements of ‘Halo 3’ to our passionate fan base is tremendously exciting for us.”

Microsoft Corp. today announced the launch of Windows Live™ Messenger on Xbox 360™, connecting friends across Xbox 360 consoles, Microsoft® Windows®-based PCs and Windows Mobile®-powered devices. With this update to Xbox 360, friends and families can easily connect and chat directly from their television using Windows Live Messenger, a network of more than 20 billion relationships and more than 260 million active accounts.
Beginning the week of May 7, 2007, the Xbox 360 Spring Update will provide Xbox 360 owners worldwide with access to Windows Live Messenger features, broadening the communication options on the Xbox LIVE social network. Members of the 6 million-strong Xbox LIVE community currently send more than 2 million text and voice messages a day and can now use Windows Live Messenger to text chat with up to six people on their contact list at one time, while playing games, listening to music or watching movies. Text chat adds to the variety of options friends and families already have to communicate with on Xbox LIVE, including voice and video chat.
Current relationships on Windows Live Messenger and Xbox LIVE will be unified on Xbox 360 and users will see at a glance if their existing friends on Windows Live Messenger have gamertags, instantly expanding the breadth of connected experiences they can share online.
“Bringing the largest IM community in the world, Windows Live Messenger, to Xbox 360 makes sense, as Xbox LIVE has really become the largest social network on television,” said Jerry Johnson, product unit manager of Xbox LIVE at Microsoft. “For our growing community of 6 million on Xbox LIVE, using Xbox 360 is a very social, connected experience. They are using Xbox 360 to play games, music and movies while simultaneously communicating with one another through video, voice and text chat. With this announcement we are simultaneously expanding the access of Xbox LIVE users to existing friends and family while introducing Windows Live Messenger users to the benefits of Xbox 360.”
Beginning the week of May 7, users of Windows Live Messenger on Xbox 360 will text chat using the virtual keyboard accessible on Xbox 360, or by connecting a USB keyboard to the console. This summer Microsoft will launch a QWERTY text-input device, a new accessory that will connect directly into the Xbox 360 controller to support text and instant messaging.
Beyond Windows Live Messenger, the Spring Update for Xbox 360 includes hundreds of new features and enhancements including the following:
· A richer Achievement notification pop-up will showcase the name of the unlocked Achievement and the gamerscore value without needing to leave the game to check the Achievements list.
· Enhanced family settings features for Xbox LIVE communications enable different defaults for video chat and voice chat.
· A new Xbox LIVE Marketplace blade lets Xbox LIVE members access the content they seek — whether it is game content or TV shows and movies (available in the United States) — from one place on Xbox LIVE.
· Updates to Xbox LIVE Arcade allow owners to quickly see which Xbox LIVE Arcade games their friends are playing and join in the fun. Xbox LIVE members can also compare progress of leaderboard scores and Achievements directly with all friends on their friends list. Expanded Tell a Friend capabilities make it easier than ever to boast about Achievements and high scores.
· A new option in Auto Downloads provides faster access to the entire collection of free, trial-version Xbox LIVE Arcade games.
· New progressive download controls provide easy access to optimal viewing options by letting people fast-forward, rewind, pause and resume as their video is downloaded from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
· Extension of the background download functionality will allow owners to set their Xbox 360 console to turn off automatically after downloads are complete.
The Spring Update is free beginning the week of May 7 and is easily accessible to every Xbox 360 owner through Xbox LIVE or on Xbox.com.

At the end of each level, players encounter a boss and enter into a match of "Rock, Paper, Scissors." Throwing the right symbols puts players ever closer to bringing King Thor home; throwing the wrong symbols squashes them beneath a heavy weight.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is pleased to announce the upcoming release of WipEout® Pulse for PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) this September.
Developed by SCEE’s award-winning Studio Liverpool, WipEout Pulse brings the iconic anti-gravity combat racing title back to PSP after a two-year wait.
Pulse arrives with a full tank of innovation, bringing stylish new tracks, futuristic ships, high-tech weapons and an impressive 7 game modes to the high-octane speed, adrenaline-drenched, anti-gravity 800 kilometres per hour action you’ve come to expect from the series.
Built to better even its critically-acclaimed predecessor, WipEout Pulse is set to become an instant classic and a must-have for PSP owners – not least because of its stunning visuals and overall enhanced game package but also its immediate accessibility: a new Training section introduces the player to how the game plays, from ship handling through to weapons allowing it to be accessible to all racing fans looking for an alternative to traditional on-wheel racers.
