n64 for me, my first console when i was 13, happy days of goldeneye bring a tear to the eye!

N64 for me too, I'd been a Ninty fan since the NES, born into a family that owned one MY first console was the SNES but I still just mashed the pad really. N64 was when I was becoming the daddy of games and it offered so much. Awesome graphics, mental controller and of course multiplayer. Many hours spent playing Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart, XIII the list continues.

Biggest mistake of my life was selling my N64 so I could buy a PS2 with Burnout 3 (awesome game mind) but at the expense of a treasure. 

Megadrive from SEGA ... loved that machine and unfortunately bought the pricey Mega CD too ...

Still has it , but don't play with it anymore, would love to spend some more time with it.

Well, I did catch the Atari era, it was so great watching all those dots

But the one that really marked my childhood was the Sega Master System / Mark, cause in Brasil the NES was really weak and Sega was smart enough to get some nice suport here, we had several exclusive games, hacked / localized versions of other games with brazillian characters on it, like Turma da Mônica ( WonderBoy ) and Chapolin vs Dracula ( Ghost House ) to full exclusive games and Game Gear / Genesis ports, like Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos and Dynamite Headdy

Eventually I got a NES, but the SMS still holds a special place in my heart

 wow, master system, didnt see that one coming!

Well my first console was the original gameboy really, way back in 1989 :-)

I loved Tetris and the Super Mario Bros games then ... then i got myself a megadrive and was hooked on that.

MegaCD, Dreamcast, Xbox etc etc all followed but if i have to choose one console ... well i can't really, all were good lol

Perhaps the megadrive ... games were so simple but so addictive and fun!

Maybe it's me, but it seems that we all turn back 2 one of our very first consoles. It was all new and exciting and keeps being ingraved in our minds...

For me, my parents bought me an ATARI LYNX (correctly written I think) and was crazy about it! It had a few great games like Crystal Mines (a puzzle game) and Gauntlet! Many hours I've spend playing while being sun-shy... My parents on one moment thought I was turning into an albino, but hey... I've seemed 2 turn out ok! ;o)

Should we get hose all back out of the closet and turn them all on again?

 no, janky old cartridges and wonky controllers- much better to play the classics on a shiny new console if you can! bring on perfect dark xbla

Had most consoles at one time or another but if i had to name one favourite growing up then i would have to say my ZX Spectrum 48k+.

Ok, not a console as such but the memories that brings back, wish i still had it now
