Many of the environments will be familiar to those who have already been on the cases of the first season (Sam & Max’s office and neighbourhood, for example), whilst others are brand new.
Graphics / Sound:
Graphically, all five games are charismatic in their animations and look great in HD, though the games certainly aren’t extremely attractive, and there does happen to be the occasional slowdown, as well. It’s nothing serious enough to ruin things entirely, then again as long as all the silliness keeps coming, the worst slowdown in the world wouldn’t be enough to divert my attentions from what matters most.
The voice acting, as mentioned earlier, is terrific and each actor really breathes life into each character, and I’m not just talking about the eponymous duo, either. The jazz influenced soundtrack is also a real treat.
Conclusion:
"Sam & Max: Beyond Time And Space" doesn’t have a single bad episode to its name, with a cast of comedic characters, intelligent enough puzzles and a price that no one in their right mind would argue with.
If you like adventure games, then this delightful bundle shouldn’t be missed.
Pros:
+ Brilliant scripts and voice acting
+ Some clever puzzles + Generous price Cons:
- May be too easy for the more serious adventure game fan
- Occasional slowdown - A small amount of locations may prove repetitive for some
