The first thing that strike the player is just how colourful the game is and this is instantly noticeable from the outset with everything presented in a vivid eye popping way.

 

Character designs if truthful are a little on the disappointing side and seem to have gone more towards the less serious side to fit in with the theme of the game and as a result are graphically somewhat of a let down. In addition the enemy characters are very repetitive with endless swarms of identical foes to battle. Admittedly the boss characters do offer a nice variety but if I’m being honest the game becomes a little tedious even before your first encounter with one of the aforementioned end of level bosses.

 

 

The actual game worlds do seem a little better graphically with plenty of activity in both the foreground and background however their actual design does not lend itself too well to this style of game. All to often the player may find that they are making silly mistakes and plummeting to their death due to the level layout which is certainly not helped by a less than friendly camera perspective.

 

Initially this can be overlooked due to the fun amounts of weapons and gore although it soon becomes far too frustrating and will see you turning the game off out of sheer frustration.

 

The in game sound fits nicely into the fantasy setting and although unspectacular does add to the cute presentation. In many ways the sound and colourful settings are much better than the actual level designs and the overall graphics which do suffer from occasional pop ups and a less than smooth finish.
